For some reason I couldn't get good pictures of my wedding ring or the ring my mom left me when she passed away. My hubby is out of town and has our good camera so I'll take pics and post them when he gets back. My wedding ring doesn't fit and will be a huge NSV when I can get it on. My mom's diamond ring is beautiful and is what I wear now since my ring doesn't fit. Thank God I'm the only girl because I definitely would have taken my sister out to get the ring.
I love the above necklace not only because I think it is beautiful and different, but it looks like the kind of necklace that has a really cool story behind it. Like, I went on safari in Africa and the jeep we were using got a flat so we had to trek through the jungle. We came upon this tribe, but they couldn't help us because they didn't speak English. Because I was hungry, I ate their weird food, but I got sick so the medicine woman made this necklace and as soon as she put it around my neck, I got better.
Or, the necklace was crafted by my husband's great, great Cherokee grandfather who gave it to his wife on their wedding night. The necklace has been passed down to the eldest male in each family to give to his spouse. It brings luck and harmony to the marriage.
In reality, I got it on ebay. But, even though it is a Brighton necklace, I think the designer is some kind of witch who got her inspiration from a wood nymph.
I guess I might as well admit that as a kid (and maybe a little now) the idea of magic really interested me. When I was younger I'd get out spell books from the local library witchcraft section (don't laugh, that's where all the good witches go) and tried some different spells. Nothing too intense - just candles and incantations - totally cool to do with my
Got my 3rd fill today. For those of you thinking it's pretty soon for a 3rd fill, my surgeon is aggressive with fills and says if I don't feel restriction in 2 weeks, I should come back for another. The last 2 times I did not feel restriction (2ccs first fill and then 2 more to make 4 for second fill and now 2 more to make it 6ccs). I feel like big girl with 6 ccs and hope that I can finally get the restriction back that I felt right after surgery. Hard to tell right now since I'm on liquids.
TGTIF (Thank God Tomorrow Is Friday)

I hope you get some restriction with this fill Bonnie!

OMG - totally use my banners! I made them for everyone! Love this post!
ReplyDeleteI have an active imagination as well and love to have a good story to go with things, even if it's only in my head. I can just see you making potions, too funny! Maybe we'll drink some in Chicago.
