Thank you all so much for your congratulations and well-wishes. I called the surgeon's office today and spoke to the insurance coordinator to confirm my file is going over today. She said that usually they don't send it over until 30 days prior to surgery, but I told her I was extremely anxious about the approval (duh!) and could she send early. She said she would. She said she will call me as soon as they get approval. I guess next step is to call insurance company to make sure file was received.
I am so excited about this weekend. I'm leaving tomorrow with 2 very good friends and we're driving 3 hours to Ocean City, MD. We're meeting up with a big group of people - it's called a Raven's Roost. For those of you not familiar, the Ravens is the football team for Baltimore, MD. There are several groups or "roosts" around which is basically a bunch of people who like to drink, party and watch football. Since we don't have the football, we're going to do the other 2 things - drink and party. I'm hoping we'll have good weather and be able to lay out on the beach too. I really need some me time and am looking forward to some stress-free fun in the sun. You know how I hate getting my picture taken, but I'll try my best to grin and bear it (ha ha) through a few so I can post when I get back. Need to start getting those before pictures together anyway so might as well suck it up.
So, unfortunately my lovely ladies I will not be able to read or comment on any blogs for the next couple days. I will try my best to get caught up when I get back. I will miss you all.
Lastly, on a totally different topic, my 2 daughters went with my niece (she's 19) to the Taylor Swift concert at the Verizon Center in DC. The tickets were super expensive - I can't even bring myself to tell you how much I spent - but they are really good girls and have done outstanding in school, so I wanted them to have a special end-of-the-school year event. Especially since I'm heading out of town just as they get out of school. Below is a picture that a lady across the aisle was nice enough to take and email to my daughter of Taylor Swift walking by their seats. Do you think it was worth the money? Umm, priceless in my book.

The Taylor Swift pic is priceless. The girls' smiles say it all! You need to frame it for them. What a special night! Have a safe and fun trip!!! Can't wait for pix when you get back!
ReplyDeleteYou are not kidding it was priceless! I love Taylor and think she is a great role model for all young girls. You are a great mama for letting them go! Have a wonderful few days with your girlfriends.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on Your surgery date! Isn't it exciting to know that it's almost here!!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture! The girls won't ever forget it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great girls weekend! Is Joe Flacco going with you?
ReplyDeleteWhat great picture from the concert.
Linda - I wish. Although Joe is a little young for me. I like them more mature - like Ray Lewis. :-)
ReplyDeleteYAY on your surgery date!!!
ReplyDeleteI really miss summers in Ocean City. Good times, and I even remember some of it... ;)
Have a great week end away with the girls.
ReplyDeleteAnd that is a great photo that the girls will alway treasure.
Good for you! Have fun.
ReplyDeleteThat's so awesome - both for you and your daughters. The expressions on their faces are priceless! You rock, missy - both as a soon to be bander and as a mom. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your weekend - and yes, take pictures. I'm finding that now, as I no longer look like what I did, I actually want more pictures to look at than the few befores and durings I've taken. I wish I had more of me in the day to day stuff. Memories of yesteryear...
Wow, so I feel so behind! Congratulations on your surgery date, good luck on your insurance approval, have a great time at your roost and AWESOME pic/time for your girls!
ReplyDelete:D
That pic is priceless. Taylor Swift was in concert two weeks ago here in Ottawa and my daughter and friends went. Two young girls bought some bogus tickets online (innocently) and were devastated. A lovely man with a box invited them to see the concert from his box so all worked out. My son keeps telling me Taylor will be his wife (I wish!). He's 24.
ReplyDeleteHave fun on your weekend trip! Can't wait to hear about your upcoming surgery
ReplyDeleteOMG I missed your announcement of your surgery date!!! I am a bad bad blogger friend! I am so happy for you!
