Now, that is cute! Hi Bonnie,I am so glad to meet you! I can't believe I am ahead in the process of anyone. I was so disappointed to know that I had to do the 6 month diet. In some ways it has helped to calm my nerves and learn so much from these blogs. It is wonderful to read about all of the success stories. I am very excited and I will be sure to post how things are going. Good luck to you and just think....we will be much thinner by this time next year!
Hi Bonnie, It sounds like we both have to jump thru the insurance hoops with the 6 month diet. Just as a note you might want double check on the 6 month. My LB dr's office has figured out that my insurance BCBS of AL says 6 months but they don't count the first month, apparently they look at the first month as a consult or something so you actually have to go 7 months. They are also very ticky about the last month. It has to be 30 days after the 6 month visit, for example if your 6 month visit is on March 15 then your 7 month must be April 15 or later. Otherwise they say you missed the 7 month by not waiting long enough and you have to start over. Tricky little buggers aren't they? Just a little info, it may not even apply to you.
Thanks for the info, Janet. I did check with the insurance coordinator and she said the 1st visit does count as my first month. However, I've seen plenty of times where the supposed know-it-all insurance person gives misinformation so we'll see. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed.
I am a 46 year-old wife (married 20 years to a wonderful man) and a mother (2 beautiful daughters, 16 and 19). I've been in the battle of the bulge since childhood and hoped the band would be the tool I needed to lose weight. I was banded on July 9th, 2010, but unfortunately lost minimal weight. I had a revision to gastric sleeve on May 1st, 2015 and am hoping that I am as successful as my other sleeve sisters.
Awwww! How cute! Thanks for that!
